Hello everyone,

I'm sending out this e-mail to all of our friends and family for a very special reason. As you all know we have been working in the village of Yaguirachi for over 1 year now. God has opened doors and blessed the work there among the Indians, having finally opened their hearts and homes to receive us and the Gospel. There have been a couple young men approach us and asked for prayers for their family members and also for healing in their bodies.  They have been touched and God is opening their hearts and eyes to his love. We all realize that this is God's doing and not anything we have done on our own. The Tarahumara are a very shy and private people, not allowing just anyone, especially gringos, to come into their village and "preach" at them. We have shown them the love of God by being an example before them, by providing for them physically as well as spiritually. Just recently the village gave us a piece of land to build a place of worship. We are eager to get this project started because bad weather is on it's way. We are so excited to see God moving mightily.

The Holiday season is approaching very soon and we would like to be able to bring Christmas to the children of Yaguirachi. We are planning on having a Christmas party for the entire village on Saturday December 4th. During this time, a special dinner would be provided for the adults as well as the children. The kids will have a time to play with games and piņatas.  We have a desire to give each child a small gift and a bag of fruit and candy. Including adults and children, we are expecting around 130 all total.

We are asking that you would pray and possibly consider being a part of bring Christmas to the children of Yaguirachi. If God leads you to participate in this, please contact us and let us know of your desire, in order for us to begin preparing now. If you can not help financially, please keep us and our ministry team in your prayers so that God would bless this special time of showing them the TRUE meaning of Christmas which is about the birth of His Son.

Blessings,

Shelly Maness
