The past couple of months have been extremely windy and cold here in the mountains. Because of the weather and the recent tuberculosis outbreak we were forced to suspend the weekly outreach in Yaguirachi. The weather is now however warming up and we have resumed our Saturday outreaches. We have also began building again on the church there in the village.
This past Saturday (12th of March) we had an awesome day in the village. Many adults and children showed up for the meeting. The picture to the right shows a portion of the children that came, they are all crammed into the back of our truck and hanging off the bumper. We are trying to get the church finished as soon as possible because the wind is still very cool when it is blowing. We squeezed all of the children into the small side building we will use for a kitchen to shield them from the wind. From the picture below to the right you can see that it needs a roof. We are still needing funds to help finish the church building. Because there has been no rain since around October of last year no one has been able to make any adobes for us to build the church with. This forced us to build with wood and increased the cost at least by 50%. We are
needing help with the cement for the floor ($400) and the tin roof ($600). If you would like to help please contact us.
The construction on the church is going well. This past week we began going up with the walls. A few of the men and older boys of the village have also pitched in to help us with the work. We are giving them food dispensas for their help.
We appreciate your past and continuing support of this ministry. Please remember to pray for our daily safety. There has been no improvement in connection with the violence here in Mexico.
After a recent computer crash I lost almost all of our e-mail contacts. If you would like to continue to receive our updates please send us your e-mail address.
