Covering?

As Christians are we to blindly take everything we here as "gospel" or are we to be as those Paul spoke of in Acts 17:11, "who searched the scriptures daily" to see if what was being taught them was sound doctrine or not. We are told to "study to show ourselves approved unto God... and to rightly divide the word of truth", in 2nd Timothy 2:15.  Will these so-called "spiritual coverings" be standing with you when you are before the throne of God?
