Indian Outreach May, 2008
Hello everyone,
Shelly and I are asking everyone for
prayer for an upcoming Indian reunion that will be taking place this
coming weekend in a village called
Cuiteco about two hours from where we
live here in Creel. We have been invited by Don Burgess, a missionary
who is working on one of the bible translations for the Tarahumara, to
come and take part in this outreach and show the Jesus film for two
nights. There will be at least 500 to 600 Indians present at this
gathering which takes place every year. This will be an awesome
opportunity to present the Gospel in the native dialect of these
precious people. Please begin praying now that everything will go
according to God's plan and also that we will not have any problems from
the Catholic church which sometimes causes problems for the Protestant
Christians. Because of the remoteness of the village we will be
camping out there over the weekend. We will send out another newsletter
afterwards to let you know how it went.
