EL Salto Water Project...

This project is located in a small community about 20-30 minutes from Creel. It will serve at least ten families. We began this project

when Mike, Sandy, Joe and Becky  came down in July. We got the pipe installed, but had to postpone the work until we could get

a pump that could lift the water at least 350-400 feet straight up. The pump we had could not do it. I have located a pump on the

internet that will do the job. The website has the lowest prices I have seen online. The pump we are needing is a Goulds 5GS07422

submersible, which can lift up to 350-400 feet @ 4-5 gallons/min. If you would like to be a part of this outreach please contact us or

let Mike and Sandy Green know.

* Update *

Nov. 07, The funds to buy this pump have been provided by Riverpark Church in Shreveport, La and by Jim Frazier

of Fredrick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Mo. We will be carrying the pump back with us to Mexico when we return after

 Christmas.

Work day September 12th 2007. The floor of the cistern has now been poured.

Friday, September 21st. We are painting the inside of the cistern to help waterproof it.

September 26, 2007 we poured the cement for the top and now it is complete

except for the hand pump that I am going to install on top. This cistern

will hold 5,663 liters (1,496 gallons) of water. It took just over a week to build this water

 tank at a cost of less than $300. If we have time before we

return to the states for Monica's back surgery, we may start the second

cistern that will be located in the canyon below.
