Happy new year
everyone!
We are finally back
home in Creel. We arrived home Wednesday night January
9th around 7:00 P M. We enjoyed our time at home in
Mississippi during the Holidays. We enjoyed spending
time with family and friends.
I just want to give
everyone an update on Monica. She is doing
absolutely perfect, after her surgery, her back is now
almost 100% straight and she has gotten 2 inches
taller. It has been amazing to sit back and watch how
God worked through the doctors and the staff at The
Shriner's Children's Hospital in Shreveport,
Louisiana. Monica had the best surgeons and care we
could have ever asked for. She has recuperated well
and gotten back to normal activity. She won't be able
to pick up anything over 10 pounds for the next year
and of course she's not complaining about that. The
only drawback we have right now is that she is not
allowed to go on the long rough bumpy roads until we
take her back for her 4 month check-up in April. The
doctor said the bumpy roads would be too hard on her
and so Ryan will be going out and doing things without
me and the girls until then. We just want to thank
each and everyone of you for all your prayers and
support during this time.
Special thanks goes
out to our pastor Brother Nelson Hight and
Church of the CrossRoads
for giving
Ryan and Shawn Nelms the opportunity to speak and
share videos of the projects that have been completed
thus far.
Also we want to thank
Brother David Mills and Kossuth Worship Center
for giving the team the opportunity to share about
this ministry and donating the funds to sponsor
another water project for this coming year.
Thank you Shawn Nelms
for all the work you did in helping Ryan install the
much needed lift kit for his truck, he couldn't have
done it without you!
On a different note,
we are excited about the coming year 2008. We are
proud to announce the addition of another family to
Highways and Hedges Ministries, Shawn and Heather
Nelms and their two boys Kaleb and Cameron. We enjoyed
all the time we got to spend together while in
Mississippi during the Holidays. They are an answer to
prayers and we look forward to working together to
accomplish what God wants done in this area.
It is already starting
out to be a busy and exciting year. Plans are in the
works for a group to come in the Spring to do a water
project and possibly one in the Fall. If anyone is
interested in coming during this year, please
contact us.
Even if you can't possibly come, please pray and
consider a donation to go towards a project or to help
sponsor someone who would like to come but doesn't
have the funds to do so.
Other exciting news we
want to report. As a result of all the hard work Ryan
has done to build and update our new
webpage,
several ministries and individuals have contacted us.
Some have shown an interest in this ministry by
wanting to network with us, another has felt led to
meet one of the needs he saw on our needs list page.
We are excited and
eager to see what God is going to do this year in
Creel and the surrounding area of Chihuahua. Ryan and
I invite you to share and be a part of blessing these
precious people, the Tarahumara Indians by your
continued support and prayers.

Please help us get this
to as many people as possible by forwarding it to all
your contacts.
