Hello everyone,

After six weeks in Mississippi we have finally returned home to Mexico. All of us are glad to be back, we missed our friends, the mountains and definitely the much cooler weather. Ryan was also ready to get back to work. I know that there was a purpose for this extended trip, not just Monica's surgery, but also new contacts were made that will help us further the work here.

Monica's surgery went as planned, she had the cast removed on June 13th. She is growing stronger everyday and is starting to walk more on her leg. She will be doing her physical therapy here at home. We take her back in August for another check-up, the doctors want to see her walking without crutches or any other support by then. Ryan and I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this time.

While we were home we had the opportunity to share with a couple of new churches and groups. Everywhere Ryan spoke the people were very excited to hear about this new work and would like to come down to do outreaches with us! We want to sincerely thank each of you who gave us the opportunity to speak and share about all the exciting things that are happening here in Creel. Thank you so much, you have helped to further the ministry God has put us here to do among the Tarahumara Indians of Mexico.

A special thanks goes out to each and every person who worked so hard during the Barbecue sale during the Memorial Day weekend and also to those of you who purchased meat.
Thank you First Assembly of God of Corinth for allowing Ryan to speak at the Men's Prayer Breakfast.
Brother Tim Dillingham of Kemp's Chapel in Rienzi, Ms.
Brother Jimmy Glover of Shady Grove United Methodist Church of Corinth, Ms.
Brother Gary Caveness of Freedom Fellowship of Corinth, Ms.
Brother Tommy Galloway of Word of Life Church in Tupelo, Ms.

We also want to especially thank the individuals (who wish to remain anonymous) for the generous gifts that will go toward the completion of one of our larger water projects and maybe more. Only you and God know how many lives you will have affected as a result of these donations. At least two Indian villages will have access to clean drinking water and better health conditions because your obedience to God.

My parents are coming down next month and are bringing a few people with them to do one water project and possibly begin another. We are also planning on going into at least two Indian villages to minister and share the Gospel by showing the Jesus film. If anyone is interested in coming with them this time or in the future please contact Mike or Sandy Green at 662-287-8267 or 662-415-8370. They will be making as many trips down here as God allows.

Ryan, Shelly, Monica and Melena Maness

P.S.  I am trying to update my email contacts, but I don't have everyone's from the Church. Please forward this to all those in your contacts from the Church. Send me your email addresses and you will receive a monthly update of what's happening here.
