Monica's Knee Surgery We arrived in Shreveport late on Saturday the day before we were to admit Monica into the hospital. The people from the Shriners had already made reservations for we when we arrived at the motel. They had even called a couple of days before wanting to know if we needed transportation to the hospital. I kind of laughed when the man asked me, because I knew he had no idea where we are living now. The experience at the Shriner's hospital was wonderful, they made us all feel like family. They took care of every need you could think of, even things you would not have expected. Monica had her surgery on the following Monday, everything went as expected. Of course she was in a lot of pain at first, but this lessened several days later. Thanks goes out to those of you who called to check on Mo's progress. A special thanks goes out to the man from Riverpark Church who came by to check on Monica after her surgery. She was released from the hospital the following Wednesday. They did not want us to return to Mexico while she had the cast on because of possible complications. We then began the trip up to Corinth. It was a little difficult because she could not bend her leg any and was uncomfortable in the back seat of the truck. Thank you so much for those of you who took the time to come and see Monica when we were in Corinth staying at Mike and Sandy's. A special thanks goes out to Roniece Newman and Tammy Pace for the food that they prepared and brought to us. Its the little things that people do that let you know that you are loved.
