This mod. is to ram more air into your engine which will result in more H.P. I found a 4 inch diameter door called a blast gate. They are used in wood shops for central vac systems that suck all that sawdust out of your shop. I then took my dremel tool and cut a hole in the radiator support of my truck and mounted the door. I bought a manual choke cable from Napa so I could close the intake during heavy rain. I will install some screen over the opening to keep it from sucking in small animals.
